City proclamation Cascade Health Alliance Day August 25, 2018

Proclamation
Whereas, in 2017, Cascade Health Alliance (CHA) commemorated their 25th anniversary with a community celebration at Veterans Memorial Park for its members and the public;
Whereas, this event celebrated bringing the community together by working alongside CHA's partners to promote healthier living through fun, interactive activities for the Klamath Basin;
Whereas, the success of the 25th anniversary community celebration sparked interest in CHA members and the community as a whole, Cascade Health Alliance has decided to host this free fun event once again;
Whereas, in 2018 Cascade Health Alliance provided funding to many of its partners to assist with social determinants of health and promote healthy lifestyles: some of its funding recipients include the Assistance League of the Klamath Basin, Joseph Conger Elementary School, Klamath Promise, City of Klamath Falls Parks Department, Reach, Inc., SMART,l Basin United Soccer, Stearns Elementary School, Steen Sports Park, the Klamath Falls Downtown Association, and the Klamath County School District;
Whereas, the "Celebrate Building a Healthy Community" free event will take place at Veterans Memorial Park on August 25th, 2018 from 11:00 AM to 3:00PM, to which all Klamath County residents are invited to attend; and
Therefore, the Klamath Falls City Council hereby thanks Cascade Health Alliance for its dedication and service to the community, and proudly declares August 25, 2018 to be the Cascade Health Alliance Day and invites all members of the Klamath Basin to join in celebration of building a healthy community.
