Celebrate building a healthy community

Klamath Falls, OR—Cascade Health Alliance (CHA) and Cascade Comprehensive Care (CCC) are celebrating the health of the Klamath Falls Community with a special event on August 25, 2018.
In 2017, CHA and CCC celebrated their 25th Anniversary with a free, fun event in Veterans Memorial Park that was open to the entire Klamath Basin. This event was so successful that CHA and CCC decided to hold a similar event this year. This time, they are bringing the community together to celebrate building Klamath Falls into a healthy place to live.
On August 25, 2018, from 11 AM to 3 PM, at Veterans Memorial Park, CHA invites the entire Klamath Basin to join in on a fun, completely free, event. "Celebrate Building a Healthy Community" will include water slides and other inflatables. It will also include free food and snack, a bubble station, face painting, chalk drawings and music with local DJ Mo Shabbir of Aftershock Entertainment. There will also be community partner booths, a dunk tank, games, giveaways and health information. The event is free and open to everyone.
Tayo Akins, CEO, commented, "The purpose of the event is for the community to have fun while getting a little bit of health education at the same time. Our vision is to build a healthy community for the population we serve. This fun event is one step in that direction. We welcome everyone to join us to make it another success."
Mayor Carol Westfall and the Klamath Falls City Council issued a proclamation declaring August 25, 2018 as "Cascade Health Alliance Day," inviting all members of the Klamath Basin to join in this celebration.
CHA serves more than 17,000 Oregon Health Plan (Medicaid) members in Klamath County. The company also serves Medicare members through its partner, ATRIO Health Plans.
